iPhone 17 Pro - Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Connection Issues

I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro in October 2025. Since purchasing, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality regularly turns itself off and on, disconnecting from networks and/or devices. If I turn Wi-Fi off, the Bluetooth becomes more stable. If I turn Bluetooth off, the Wi-Fi becomes near constant stable. It's as if the N1 chip can't cope with both on. Low Power Mode affects things further.

Bluetooth at times (even with Wi-Fi off) can connect and disconnect sometimes every few seconds which makes the functionality unusable. That said, I can also sometimes experience no issues for around an hour of which I suspect may be when there are few other devices nearby (remote walks).

Early on, when I could find time, I contacted Apple Support who talked me through resetting and adjusting settings. That didn’t help.

I then waited out the next iOS update hoping that would solve the issue. That didn't change much.

I’ve regularly been ‘forgetting’ networks and devices, reconnecting them, and often hard resetting my phone in hope that resolves things. It doesn’t.

All said networks and devices connect to Macs and previous iPhone models with no issues.

Wi-Fi: Connecting to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz networks doesn't seem to make a difference.

Bluetooth: The Bluetooth devices are most commonly just my Apple Watch and AirPods Pro, however the issue also occurs when connecting to my car (Bluetooth audio, not CarPlay).

For how expensive this product is, and the expectation of Apple that ‘it just works’, this experience has been anything but positive. At this stage, disappointingly, I’ll have to return the faulty product for a refund when I can find time, and restore a former model I own that worked with all previously mentioned networks and bluetooth devices. The #%* around to do all that is not ideal.

Has anyone else had similar experiences, and found any work arounds?

My confidence in buying new release Apple Hardware of which I had often done across their portfolio for myself and my business in the past has certainly changed.

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.
