MacBook Pro M4 can’t restore MacOS, error 4013

Hello, I’m having a problem with my MacBook Pro M4 one day after an update it showed that it needed a restore but after trying to restore it with Apple configurator 2, i ran into a problem. I get this message every time that I try:

The System cannot be restored on this device.

Unexpected device state 'Recovery' expected 'RestoreOS' (Probably caused by corruption or panic in the bundle's restored)

[com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore

- OxFAD (4013)]

I’ve tried with three different MacBooks and like 10 different cables (original ones from older macbooks, thunderbolt (i know that they are not recommended but i needed to try) iPhone C to C cables) and every time it shows this problem. When the configurator starts to install the OS the computer reboot and display restore screen again and after that I get this 4013 error message. How can I fix it? I went to authorised Apple services and they told me that i need a new logic board (mac is out of warranty) and 850$ is too expensive for me to fix it (i will be better buying M4 Air and selling the Pro for parts. So can you help me guys. (Recovery doest work already tried) ( i plugged the cables in the correct ports (even tried all the configurations possible and still the same f.. message)

In my country, we don’t have officiall Apple stores. That’s why I went to them. When I asked the service repair what was the problem with the MacBook? They told me that they didn’t know but they tried with a new logic board and it worked - of course it would work… it’s like a completely new computer.

Not sure where you going with this

Of course it may work like a brand new computer if the Logicboard was the root cause of the issue

If the complaint is about the Apple Authorize Service Centre and what they knew or did not known

That is a different matter which is, technically, not part of the mandate of the Apple Support Community

I’m not going that way. I’m just repeating what they told me. I am asking if there is anybody that faced the same problem and found a solution for the issue, as it’s the caption of the Post: Error 4013

Thanks for the clarification.

It sounds like the logic board replacement resolved the issue in your case.

Since no alternative solution has been identified for Error 4013 here, I’ll consider this addressed for now.

Appreciate your input.

I’ll still be waiting for somebody that maybe knows how to fix this issue because the computer sometimes (very rare occasion) boots up normally and I’m still not figuring out what the problem is.

Still trying to figure out what the problem is ?
