Use Apple wallpaper for Home Screen only, not paired to lock screen

On ios26 I don’t see the option to use the Apple provided wallpapers for JUST the Home Screen. I don’t want it to be paired. I’ve tried adding a new wallpaper collection and then editing the lock screen but it doesn’t give me the option. I want to use a personal photo on the lock screen and a Apple wallpaper on the Home Screen. Why is this so hard?

Because changing the lock screen from a standard wallpaper to a photo option is not provided.

Typically you set a new lock screen with Photos then customise the home screen, with colour or photo but standard wallpaper papers are not available. Well not unless you take a screen shot of a wallpaper and save to photos. It would have to be cropped to remove the time.
