Mac book keeps restarting
turned On put in password then just apple icon appears and asks again for macintosh hd password over and over

Make sure you’re using the right password
When it says “Macintosh HD password”, it wants:Your normal Mac login password
Not your Apple ID password
Shutdown the computer by holding the Power / Touch ID button until it shuts down ( They are one and the same button )
Press and HOLD the Power button
Keep holding until you see “Loading startup options”
Select Options → Continue
If it asks for a password here, enter your Mac login password
Still no success ?
Reset password from Recovery
Startup Options >> Options
From the top menu: Utilities >> Terminal
Type: resetpassword >> then press Return
