Station song history on Mac doesn't exist

Why does the Discovery station or [User's] station history not show on Mac. It's happened so many times where I am listening to a great song, and once it passes I go to check what it was called to add it to a playlist, just to realize i'm on my Mac and that song is now gone forever. It's incredibly frustrating and I've seen this mentioned here before, this should not exist.
