Google Translate in Messages gives ‘can’t translate. Check your connection and try again later’

Google Translate in iMessage not working after 3 days of new iPhone

iPhone pro max 17, I’ve only had this phone for a few days now and the Google Translate function directly in iMessage was working fine but since yesterday I keep getting this error ‘can’t translate. Check your connection and try again’. I also no longer have the ‘translate conversation’ button, just translate message which gives above error. My connection is fine, tried on data and wifi also tried rebooting my phone still persists.
