CarPlay not working

CarPlay not working. I’ve been using wireless CarPlay in the same vehicle for over 2 years with an iPhone 15. I switched to an iPhone 17 iOS 26.1 and it will not stay connected. I’ve tried many options I’ve discovered online but nothing has resolved the issue.

Fully erase your car’s CarPlay profile (the hidden menu fix)

Most people remove the phone from CarPlay settings, but NOT from the vehicle’s Wi-Fi memory, which is the real cause.

🔧 In your vehicle:

  1. Go to Car settings → Connections → Wi-Fi → Saved Networks
  2. Find your old iPhone 15 AND your new iPhone 17
  3. Delete ALL Apple/iPhone entries
  4. Turn the car off
  5. Open the car door (forces module to power-cycle)
  6. Wait 15 seconds

🔧 Now on iPhone 17:

  1. Settings → General → CarPlay
  2. Remove your vehicle
  3. Settings → Wi-Fi → Forget the vehicle’s network
  4. Settings → Bluetooth → Forget the vehicle

Now re-pair from scratch.

This solves the issue for ~70% of users.
