Force the AirPods case to go into sleep mode
This clears the stale battery broadcast.
Do this:
- Put BOTH AirPods in the case
- CLOSE the lid
- Leave it closed for at least 30 seconds
- Open Control Center → Bluetooth → reconnect
The AirPods case broadcasts a new battery state only after being fully asleep for ~15–30 seconds.
