Multiple macOS system features are failing

I'm experiencing multiple system feature failures in macOS (version "Tahoe"):

Affected Features:

  • Desktop widgets
  • Siri
  • Notification Center
  • Low battery reminders and notifications
  • System tips app

Restart your mac.

If that does not fix it, restart in Safe Mode, and test.

Does the problem go away?

If it does not happen in Safe Mode, does it recur after you start normally?

Two cents here

How to fix this, is above my Pay Grade

From the Etrecheck Report

disk3s2 - Preboot (APFS) [APFS Preboot] (8.11 GB used)

Preboot volume corruption or mismatch

  • Preboot is 8.11 GB (should be ~300–400 MB).
  • A corrupt Preboot manifests exactly through:
    • Notification Center not loading
    • WidgetKit not loading
    • Siri not initializing
    • System UI servers silently crashing
    • Tips / suggestions daemon not loading

macOS loads all system extensions and per-user metadata from Preboot for a “sealed” system volume.

A broken Preboot means many user-level system processes never launch.

Not sure this will or will not solve the Corrupted Per-Boot issue

Confirm that the user has access to another Apple computer currently running macOS 15 or macOS 26 (Tahoe).

This secondary system must be capable of performing a Revive or Restore operation on the target Mac’s firmware if required.

Restore should Wipe the Secure Enclave Firmware and the entire drive if everything and lay down a new Secure Enclave Firmware and a new version of Tahoe

My macOS applications are not launching or responding properly. When I click Edit widgets, there is no response at all. The same issue occurs with Siri, it simply doesn't open or react. The Tips app will open but gets stuck loading indefinitely. I’ve experienced this for a while, and none of my attempts have resolved it. Initially I thought it was a problem with my computer, so I purchased a new Macbook. After migrating my data and environment to the new machine, the same problems persist, which leads me to believe something in my data or system configuration is causing a conflict.
