I don't even know how to ask this - my label for the trash icon in my dock won't go away. All other labels will disappear after scroll-over, but not for trash. I have rebooted in safe mode, killed the dock in terminal, emptied the trash...a LOT. I have a MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.7.2. Help?

Have you tried rebooting your Mac?
If that doesn't sort it, see if the problem is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.
Thanks for the reply! Every other label works as it is supposed to - it's just the one for Trash that stays active, even after I've moved the cursor.
To your question, I am running a virus scanner that I've turned off. Otherwise, that's the only thing that's third party. It's such a weird bug.
By design, the Label for trash is only supposed to appear when the cursor is near the Trash.
If yours is behaving differently, it is malfunctioning.
