Convert a Studio Display from a height-adjustable stand to a VESA mount.

I have a Studio display purchased in late 2023 with a height-adjustable stand. I want to convert to a Vesa mount. What I've learned so far is that it can only be done by Apple at an Apple store. OK, got that. How on earth do I find out the price? I was in the store yesterday, but they couldn't give me a price. I've been trying to get an answer from Apple Support for 45 minutes, but they haven't helped. I understand I'm locked into an "Apple Only" resolution, but nobody at Apple can tell me what it costs. Quite frustrating! As long as I'm on a rant, "Support" used to be a fantastic loyalty feature, but my experience today tells me that "Support" has been significantly downgraded to the point I won't look there for help again.

The tilt and height adjustable stand appears to add about US$400 to the purchase price.

If you remove it and set it aside, you have no way to recover any portion of that cost, except to sell as "parts" to a hobbyist to fiddle with, at a 'next-to-nothing' price.

if you convert your fully-working display to cash (by selling it) you recover more of its value, and can apply that toward a display that better meets your needs.

Computers are a commodity, They have no art value. The same model with the same features should have the same fair-market value everywhere, unless it is beat up a lot.

I suggest you simply convert your current display to cash (by selling it) and buy a different device that better meets your needs.

it is quite likely what you are asking for is simply Not available for sale at all, except at the time of purchase. It might be a bit harsh to judge people for not being able to do what is impossible. They do appear to be trying.
