Help with ugly green mic header on Podcasts app and browser!

I have had the Savage Minds podcast hosted on Substack's servers for five years and now I find this abhorent and ugly image of a microphone at the top of Apple podcast where we are integrated through RSS feed.

And on the Podcasts app it's even uglier:

Substack says to have our logo at 1400 and under 50kb which ours is: its 1500 and under this. Please help!! I called Apple and was disconnect and agent never called back and Substack has very bad support, now operated by a bot. Thanks!

OK, just to be sure, I went back to my image as it was saved as png and I have now exported as jpg in case this makes a difference. I will report back as I read it can take a couple hours to the shift to take. ;)

Thanks so much. I did all this yesterday to include the change of name.

Where is the <itunes:image> tag? I have found this under individual episodes, but that is not the issue. Thanks!!

The ugly green mic icon is Substack’s default art when no valid podcast artwork is set.

Even if you’ve uploaded your own, you need to ensure: square image, ≥1400×1400 px, RGB, no transparency.

Rename the image file when re-uploading (to force Apple to notice the change).

Validate your RSS feed and make sure the <itunes:image> tag is correct.

Refresh your feed in Apple Podcasts Connect.

If Substack support is unhelpful, push them with clear documentation and ask Apple to help refresh the image.
