Siri asking 'which one?' when calling my wife on iPhone 14 Plus with iOS 18.5
Hi,
I have a question about Siri and my Contacts. I created a nickname for my wife so all I have to say is 'Siri, call my wife'. It worked fine until recently when I say 'Siri, call my wife', it asks 'which one?' and bring up several other names - Frank, Dave, Lance, etc. The reason those names come up is because on their contact info, I made a note of their wives' names so I can remember them. For example, Frank's wife's name is Carol. So on his contact card under the First name and Last name is a line for 'Company'. In that line I typed 'Carol (wife)' so I can remember his wife's name. For some of the contacts, I created that note in the 'Notes' field on the contact card.
Apparently, Siri sees the word (wife) on Frank's contact card and thinks Carol is my wife, too. This is odd because it has never happened before even though I've had all this information in my iPhone for years.
I tried fixing this by deleting those notes on all the contact cards, double-checked that my wife's contact card is the only one with the note (wife), then restarted my phone. When I say 'Siri call my wife', it still brings up those names.
Again, this has never happened before and has only been a problem recently. I am stumped as to why this is an issue.
My apologies if this should have been posted in a different place but I wasn't sure so I defaulted posting it here.
Thanks for your help.
