Wired Magic Keyboard not recognized on Mac mini M2 startup
I'm using a Mac mini 2023 M2 with a wired Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad and have experienced times when the keyboard is not recognized upon startup. I usually don't turn off my Mac, I put it to sleep and normally don't shut it down until it starts acting up or for software installation. I've tried the additonal USB port. Turned off the Mac and restarted, unplugged the cable and while holding down the esc key plugging it back in. All of these worked temporarily and was forced to buy an adapter to us the Thunderbolt port which worked at first but now that is not working upon startup. I did a system check and brought up hardware to see if the keyboard was being recognized in the Thunderbolt port and is not.
Other information that may be relevant. When I purchased the keyboard I used the USB ports underneath to charge my iPhone. That worked for several years and that was the first thing that stoped working on the keyboard.
Thanks in advance for any advice:-)
