I am unable to activate my Apple TV 3 month trial via from Vodafone. Vodafone has been most unhelpful as there is no support for this and I have not been able to contact a human being to discuss it with them. All ai assistance is futile. Can anyone assist in a solution for this problem. I am entitled to a 3 month free trial which I cannot access.

Apple has a specific offer for 3 months when users buy eligible hardware and has specific terms (i.e. must be activated within 90 days, not valid if previous subscriber or used trial, one per family sharing group). If having trouble and are verified as eligible then you would contact Apple support (this is only a user forum).
However, if you were given a specific offer through Vodafone only they can assist. Unless another user here is knowledgeable about that specific offer it may be hard to assist.
