Migrating iOS devices between Intune

We need to migrate iOS devices enrolled into Intune to another instance of Intune. Both Intune are integrated with separate ABMs, primary need is to avoid device reset.

Apple Business Manager now provides a simple way to migrate MDMs provided that the devices are on iOS/iPadOS/tvOS/macOS 26 or higher.

We have few Ios devices with older Os version could you suggest for the migration process, If any for the Best way to do.

Do you care if the user can remove the MDM? or if they don't manage to enroll in the new MDM at all? Or if there are limitations to what you can do once enrolled in the new MDM?
