Threads are closed when they have become too old and there is no longer any participation by the OP who had asked a question. Also many times the question is no longer relevant with changes that had been made in updates. You will find posts here that go back more than 10 years where it would make no sense to comment on a post looking for help. It is not unusual for Google to suggest links to these older posts and direct you to one where you cannot even provide a comment. If you have a question it is recommended to provide a new post if you are unable to resolve an issue with the information that has been previously provided.
This is s Support Site where you will not see Apple provide any information to you, and is instead a location where other users can provide assistance. Many times that will also include links to the information that Apple does provide in the form of Support Articles and may be helpful. It is not required to use this site and you can certainly contact Apple directly using the link below.
