spilled sticky drink on macbook pro

Okay, so I was hanging out with my friend, and she spilled her Prime drink on my MacBook. It was not a lot, like a small splash; a bit got on my screen and keyboard. I took maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute to react, then went to wipe the Prime drink off and wiped it with a damp towel. This happened like 30-40 minutes ago. As I'm typing this post, I tested all my keys, and they work properly, and my screen is fine. The only problem is that I don't know how much drink got into my keyboard, and what signs to look for are if my MacBook has damage from the spill. If my Macbook if fine after a week from the spill can I stop worring about it?

Signs of liquid damage include sticky keys and keys that misbehave. Bad cases include the Mac misbehaving in other ways that might include the inability to login or use the keyboard or trackpad properly.

If you're very lucky there will be no real damage.

Unfortunately, liquid damage tends to get progressively worse over time. How bad the damage gets is difficult to predict and depends on how much and what type of liquid is involved.

You might consider having the computer looked at by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider if for no other reason than to have the keyboard evaluated and perhaps cleaned.
