7th Gen IPad stuck on white apple screen even after connecting to laptop and pressing restore

My iPad (7th generation) is stuck on a white screen with a black Apple logo. I connected it to my fully updated MacBook Air and put it into Recovery Mode. I tried both Update and Restore, but both attempts failed with the message:

"The iPad “iPad” could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (6). 060E.0006"

I also tried using a new Apple-certified cable, but the same error occurred.

I also tried DFU and that did not work. I do not want to pay any money or visit someone. Is there a way to fix this?

Could you please advise on the next steps to fix this?

Thanks

You would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from another Apple device using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assist with troubleshooting:
