My camera doesn’t seem to work anymore after updating to IOS 26.1. It turns dark immediately I open the camera App. It’s impossible to take pictures with both front and back camera.

I too am having the same camera issue after the update to IOS 26.1. Don’t even tell us it’s an hardware issue.
Have you updated to iOS 26.2? It was released last week.

Camera is functioning correctly with update to IOS 26.2. So much for the “ bad hardware” comments.
Very irritating issue but apple is not taking it seriously.

No nothing helps till apple fixes the software. I have another camera app that make the camera work so it not a hardware issue.
I spent 8 hours yesterday with apple tech support and best buy and apple store. They just want you to upgrade or wait till they fix the software
same issue with mine but they said they hadn't had this issue from anyone else. Haha

Blackmagic camera app made the camera work.
It is a IOS issue.
a 3rd party app blackmagic and it works.
Just like any other time when an update causes problems Apple pushes out patch to correct it. So a fix magically floating through the air is kinda just that.
