Transferring from PC to new MacBook Air

I can see the prompt on my pc quote: “ Reconnecting to Mac. Migration assistant is attempting to reconnect to your Mac

Make sure this PC is connected to the network “migration_1248ec0b”

end quote.

I don’t see any such network on my Mac and it’s not my private network. Above network says ‘no internet’.

The above window popped up after I chose files to be transferred from PC to Mac.

on my Mac, I pop up window showing pc to Mac transfer with quote “ transferring your information”

Looks like both are running for almost 3 hours. Shall I wait or shall Icancel and start from the scrap?

The Mac and the Windows PC must be on the same local network segment. You also need to have the correct Windows Migration Assistant installed as referenced in the following:

Note: My principal Desktops have and continue to be Macs, so I have no first hand experience migrating from Windows to Mac. I run Windows 11 Pro as a guest in Parallel's Desktop (M4) or in VMware (Intel) 25H2.
