M5 MacBook Pro and LG Ultrawide (40WP95C-W) Resolution Issue

I am having issues selecting the appropriate resolution (3840x1620 or 3440x1440 are the sweet spots) for my LG monitor with my new M5 MacBook Pro( Thunderbolt 4). I did NOT have this issue with my Mac mini M4 pro with Thunderbolt 5. I just took back a M4 Air (Thunderbolt 5)because of this issue. What I don't understand is the monitor is Thunderbolt 4 bolt but Thunderbolt 5 Macs can drive the proper resolution? Anyone else have this issue? I have also tried BetterDisplay with luck...

No, it does not need more bandwidth to be readable. You need to select SCALED Resolutions.

If you use SCALED resolutions, text is drawn into an offscreen buffer at larger sizes, then scaled into the screen buffer at a more readable size, with beautifully-smoothed edges. Graphics are rendered at Native resolutions. The feature works very well.

Thanks for the response, I am using the TB4 cable that came with the monitor. As mentioned it works fine with MacMini M4 Pro TB5 and MacBook M4 Pro TB5. It does not have a problem pushing 5120 x 2160, it is just to small to read anything, that technically should require more bandwidth. Perhaps with TB4 it just needs to be shorter, I will give that a try.
