I just took a bunch of pics that I want to use on my computer. I want to force a sync and ive already done all the things on here suggested by others and my devices are both synced to the same iCloud account
any advice?

Your new MacBook Air may not be syncing photos yet due to a few potential issues, such as a new setup that needs time to sync, insufficient iCloud storage, or connectivity problems. To fix this, ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, signed into the same Apple ID, and have iCloud Photos enabled in the Photos app preferences. You may also need to let the initial sync take place overnight.
