Battery problem after macbook tahoe 26.0.1 version

After the latest MacBook update (Tahoe 26.0.1), my computer's battery is draining very quickly. Before the update, the battery lasted for a week, but now it's draining every day. I can't use my computer as efficiently as before.

verify your software is up to date—

The current stable release of Tahoe including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 26.1 — I would start there

My information is correct as written.

Your reported ability to run on battery for a week is extremely rare.

By far the easiest way to cause poor performance, instability, overheating and crashing is to install ANY third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners, Bit Torrent, or a VPN that you installed yourself.

¿Are you running anything like that?

That computer is a battery-CAPABLE device. It is not optimized as a battery-operated device. (It is NOT an iPhone.)

Your computer performs best when connected to AC power, such as the power adapter. It can use the full output of the Power Adapter AND when doing especially challenging work could also freely "borrow" power from the battery. In some cases, even with the power adapter connected, the charged state may decline during very stressful work.

When used only on battery, your computer has no extra cushion of power, and may perform more slowly. However, for ordinary non-stressful tasks this may not be objectionable (possibly not even noticeable.)

In general, you should ALWAYS connect a power source when it is possible to do so, and only run on batteries (which could be somewhat slower) when no power sources are at hand. Modern Macs maintain optimum battery charge levels under program control, and will NEVER over-charge.

When you set it down to use in one place, or set it down for the night, plug it in. Then you won't CARE whether it would drain the battery.

Here also, same problem here, indexation is done, syst updates are done, soft updates are done... still my macbook pro 2024 m3pro doesn't last more than 3-5 hours on battery while before I never got to the end of my battery... It's nearly a four fold increase in consumption which is crazy and heaviliy problematic.

And it appeared with tahoe.

It is super disappointing. And quite a problem.
