Chrome Remote Desktop failed installation Macbook Pro OS Ventura 13.7.8 date 11/2/2025

Chrome Remote Desktop failed installation MacOS Ventura 13.7.8 (2.9 GHz Quad Intel Core i7) fails. But when I installed it on my iMac OS 26.0.1, it went on without a hitch. After repeated install attempts(old & newest versions) I finally got to the point that the installation claims it was succesfull but it choked on launch as I tried to put in a PIN

I can't connect to my desktop. I get an error:

warning The remote host is out of date and must be updated in order to connect.

Funny that could be the date that I bought it?

Do you need to access the home Mac itself or just some files on it? If the latter try iCloud Drive: iCloud User Guide

I already have two hundred gig of icloud storage. Most of it is taken up with pictures accumulated over 20+ years. I was actually looking for something in an email that is not backed up to the cloud! If I recall each "photo library" is limited in size so it's really hard to go back over the years and decide what photos or videos you can remove without messing up the most recent pictures. I've seen ads for a TB of storage but that is just throwing money at the issue without doing anything about the underlying issue-too easy to take many, many photos/videos. I use amazon photo/video storage. I like it because it shows "memories" which provide glimpses of the past with unlimited Photo storage but it has limited video storage and Im alway bumping up against that cap! Anyone have experience with a media application that would make it easier to go thru and review/delete the older stuff?
