what is AirPlay logging?

Attempting to set up airplay on my new device, which is a TCL43” Smart TV It’s frustrating because I would like to just be able to stream it straight from my phone, but it’s not allowing that so I’m just setting up the settings and this has popped up so I am not positive what it is and questioning whether or not to use it.

AirPlay is supported on the TV, or not. Whether that is the case depends on the exact model.

The availability (or not) of the Apple TV app on the smart TV is a separate feature, and not an indication of AirPlay support per se.

AirPlay usually has an on-off settings on the receiving device. Verify that it is “On”. On supported smart TVs, this would often be in: TV settings﹥Apple AirPlay settings﹥, but there could be some variance by brand.

Not everything can be streamed through AirPlay, depending on what the content provider has configured. Check with them if their content has limitations for AirPlay. Also please elaborate on what you were trying to stream, if you want our assessment.

As far as I know, AirPlay doesn’t log anything. For further inquiries on this aspect, consider contacting the Apple Support staff.
