Possible Apple order scam Email

I recently ordered something from Apple and just got an email from ship******@apple.com asking me to provide my phone number so they can discuss a problem with my order. Is this a real email from Apple?

If you suspect a scam, most likely iit is a scam.

Eg: says:

"Phishing and other scams

If you receive a suspicious email that’s designed to look like it’s from Apple,

you can forward it to reportphishing@apple.com. "

If you want: You can check on your order status by going online (tip: have your order number handy):

Eg: says:

" ... visit your Order Listing page and sign in with your Apple Account and password."
