Persistent 'USBserver' data access request on iMac running macOS Tahoe 26.0.1

When I start up my iMac 2021 running Tahoe 26.0.1, I get a pop up menue that says, "USBserver" would like to access data from other apps. Keeping app data seperate makes it easier to manage your privacy and security. Is this a scam? The pop-up keeps coming up, after selecting Don't Allow. If I select Don't Allow 3 times it then goes away.

If I am not mistaken USBServer is an outdated relic from having installed a Brother printer at one time, perhaps in the distant past. And, if that is correct, it's not a scam, but it is an annoyance.
