Unfortunately, much as people recommend Luminar Neo, I'd stay away from it. Skylum has a long reputation for abandoning products in favor of new ones you have to buy again and stretching out the timelines for release of promised features.

FWIW, Pixelcut errors out with Firefox & Safari running in Tahoe. It seems to work with Chromium browsers such as Brave and I assume Google Chrome.

For removing backgrounds give the macOS Finder a try. Just Control (right) - click on a photo and select Remove Background from the Quick Actions menu:

It all depends on what you want to spend. Photoshop, Photoshop Elements (one time purchase), Affinity Photos (otp), GIMP (free, open source), GraphicCoverter (otp). There are so many to choose from that it depends on what you need the app to do.

Is the current version of Photoshop compatible with Tahoe? PSE 2026 isn't.

Photoshop 2026 seems to work for some people on Tahoe but not others. I am certain Adobe is working on an update. For myself, I'm still running Sequoia, Sonoma & Monterey and PS 24, 25, 26 all work fine on their respective machines.

Well, PSE 2025 worked fine in Tahoe but PSE 2026 immediately crashes. I only downloaded the free trial.

As it turns out, once I logged into the site using Brave, Safari started to work. Firefox still won't work.
