How to use Safari without AI?

I do not want to have an AI overview at the top of every search at all. Is that possible? And how difficult?

iPhone 11, iOS 18

Safari itself does not have an AI Overview.

Are you maybe referring to Google's AI Overview? That's produced by Google when you use their search engine website.

If so, you would need to disable it from Google's settings.

Alternatively, you can use a different search engine for Safari.

Go to Safari menu ➜ Settings ➜ Search ➜ Search Engine, and select a different one.

Then any search you start from Safari's address bar will use the selected search engine instead of Google.com
