Can I get an iphone purchase receipt from a deleted ICloud account?

I have an iPhone 5 that I got from a relative, and I factory reset it. I need to get past the activation lock now; however, the account it was locked in with has long been deleted, as I heard from the owner. I previously attempted to send an activation lock removal request, but they noticed I didn't have the receipts of the purchase for it. I heard on Google that only the IMEI might be needed, but I'm trying to figure out what specific options to file support under, and is this really possible?

No you cannot. If you could then using the receipt as proof of purchase would be counter intuitive, and it wasnt yours, this relative could actually be a victim of your crime

The relative needs to remove if from their Apple account.

They would need to recover their password from Apple, you cannot.

And iPhone 5 is obsolete except as a rather small ipod, I wouldn't bother.
