No message notification on lock acreen

iphone 13, after the recent update i've had the same issue others have regarding the phone randomly going to silent mode, the temporary fix is to toggle the mute switch back and forth. However; has anyone else noticed they are not getting text message notifications on the lock screen? i don't know if it's related to the other issue. This issue is that i can check my lock screen and not see any notifications, but then if i unlock it i will see the red number next to the message app. so i missed the alert on the lock screen all together. it's been very random, it could be from an unknown sender, or it could be from someone in my contacts that i text regularly. it's also random in that it can be during a conversation with a contact, it will simply not notify me of an incoming message on the lock screen. then later after a few texts back and forth it will start showing. it's frustrating and seems completely random. i've verified that no settings appeared to have changed since the update. alerts are allowed on lock screen, the message filter is turned off, the individual message conversation is not muted. i've tried restarting both the regular way and forced way. nothing seems to fix it. i'm up for any ideas, thank you

latest update (26.1) seems to have fixed the issue. if anyone knows how to delete this thread i created let me know how and i'll get rid of it. thanks

i tried something posted on the "silent notifications" thread about turning off notifications in messages, then restarting, then allowing notifications again, that didn't work with this particular problem. i'm reporting something different from the entire phone going silent, which has a big thread going on already, my problem since the update is that message notifications won't show up on lock screen or notification center. REGARDLESS if the phone is in the silent mode. when i notice the silent problem, i toggle the mute switch back and forth and then i have sound. BUT i still have a problem with random texts not notifying me, no sound and nothing on the lock screen. the only way i notice is when i unlock the phone and see a red number next to the message app. this happens randomly, could be someone in my contacts that i message all the time. after a few texts back and forth sometimes they will start showing up. only for the rest of that day, it can happen again the very next day. the filter and spam protection are turned off. this problem only started after the last update. it is completely DIFFERENT from the problem people are having with the entire phone going silent on occasion. there has to be more people with this same problem...
