favorites on finder dont work until you do this

I have a NAS I connect to. If I click on the nas drive it will connect to it without needing a password. But for some reason the favorited nas drive folders will not work unless you first click the drive.

I get this annoying message

"" can't be opened because the original item can't be found.

But if I go to that folder the long way, click the drive, the folder then the subfolder then the favorited finder link will start to work. Until next restart of the computer when I have to do this again. Finder didn't use to have this issue till recently, not sure if it is the tahoe update.
