Adding ellipsis points to TOC entries in Pages document

I successfully generated TOC in the document I'm working on; the table generated of course based on the headings I used elsewhere in the document. Whilst the table produced is satisfactory and Okay, I would like each entry to be followed by a series of dots, suspension points dots, points periods of ellipsis, or ellipsis points, or colloquially, dot-dot-dot. Call it what you like. I cannot edit the table generated for some reason or another, can you help me out?

One you have generated the ToC and have selected the relevant Paragraph styles in the Table of Contents tab, switch back to Format. Select the first entry in the ToC and on the Format panel and under Tabs, you will see a Leader column heading. Click that selector and your choices of leader will include the ellipsis:

In reply to your posting, I am delighted to confirm I have successfully added the desired (much wanted, necessary) trailing (ellipses) dots to each entry in my TOC beautiful table. Obviously, someone out wanted those dots in their document, they endeavoured of course!

The Pages manual is a bit on the brevity side you know!

Good. The Pages User Guide for Mac is also in the form of a free eBook in the Apple Book Store. It is more verbose, and though Apple used to keep it updated as new versions of Pages were released, it appears to be a 2023 edition. You would view this book via the Apple Books application on your Mac.

Like the PDF user guides of the past, Apple may have quietly retired the continous production of the eBooks for Mac, i/Pad/OS editions.
