SOS notifications about falling are coming up randomly on my Apple Watch

I have an Apple Watch 9 and since updating to 26.0.2, I randomly get a notification saying it looks like I’ve fallen and it will contact 911 or cancel. This has happened 3x in the past week. For instance I was standing at the counter cutting an apple when I got this notification. Has anyone else had this happen to them and is there a fix? I don’t want to turn the function off, but if it happens and I can’t respond right away then it calls 911, so I might have to until Apple fixes the issue. Thanks

Did you already report this issue directly to Apple by using the Feedback link?

Erasing the watch and paring it again without using the latest backup would be the only way to rule out defective data from the backup.

If setting it up as a new device does not help, you should get the watch diagnosed by Apple, which can also be done online.
