Where can I download a copy of 10.1.14 for my iMovie projects?

Do you know where I can download a copy of 10.1.14? I lost a hard drive and I found that my Backblaze backup doesn’t include applications. My movie projects were created in 10.1.14 and it won’t let me open them in anything earlier, not even 10.1.12.

The current version is 10.4.3. You should be able to reopen your iMovie projects with anything later than 10.1.14.

If you are still on Mojave or Catalina and *must* have 10.1.14 you *may be able* to get it from the App Store. First make sure there is no copy of iMovie on your Mac. Then sign into your App Store account and navigate to your purchases. Find iMovie there and redownload. When you attempt to download, you should get a message like "The current version requires macOS x.y.z or later, but you can download the last compatible version." You should then be able to download an earlier version compatible with whatever version of macOS your Mac is running.

There were errors in the App Store when I tried to look at the purchases. However, I tried it several times over several days and one time the errors went away. I was able to get the option to download the latest compatible version and I got the 10.1.14 version back. :-)

There are others who have also had to try multiple times to get older versions of apps. Good to know you were successful!
