why my screenshots have to take twice?

Why does the new system's function require taking screenshots twice? And even after taking the screenshots, they can't be directly dragged and used. It's really inconvenient!!!!! It's even worse than the previous version!

I'm sorry, I cannot replicate that. do you have any apps installed that claim to "speed up" or "clean up" or otherwise "optomize" your Mac? and / or any antivirus apps?

if no such apps, I would try and Start up your Mac in safe mode and test to see if the issue persists. if it clears up, restart your Mac normally and test again. sometimes a safe boot followed by a normal boot can fix some anomalies.

do you have "Show Floating Thumbnail" enabled? and are you trying to interact with the "Floating Thumbnail"?

when active, the recording will temporarily show up on the bottom right of your screen before being saved and moving to the chosen “save to” location. I have seen issues when others (and myself) that when interacting with the "floating thumbnail" it can cause the recording to disappear, never to be found again. that is why I personally ALWAYS leave "show floating thumbnail" disabled.
