Removing child's Apple ID from Family Sharing on iPhone

Hello 👋

I’m the Family Organizer for my Apple Family Sharing group. I created an Apple ID for my 11-year-old child, and all the options to remove or delete the account are greyed out on my iPhone.

I’d like to request Apple’s help to either remove or permanently delete my child’s Apple ID from Family Sharing.

Please let me know what verification you need from me to proceed. Thank you!

Can I delete my child’s account?

If you are the organizer of your family, you can delete your child’s Apple Account when you request deletion of your account. Your child can also request deletion of their Apple Account, which requires your approval.

The approval request will be sent via email to the primary Apple Account email address of your family organizer account. When approving the request from this email, you will go through the process of deleting the child account.
