Anyway, to disable “stolen device protection remotely?

Well, they did the work and now they’re saying ‘We cannot back up your phone to our servers because ‘Stolen Device Protection’ is enabled requiring the client’s Face-ID.”


🙄


There has to be a way to turn this off remotely.


Let me get this straight…


if STD is unable, an iPhone cannot even be BACKED UP without Face ID?


Isn’t that a little overkill?

What if the Face-ID was damaged? That’s a really common issue!

This guy is a great Apple customer, and he has so many devices that he’s had to take out three iCloud family plans just to back them up, and now you’re telling me that the forensic guy can’t even do their job without this guys mug?


I really don’t understand SDP. How exactly does blocking people from accessing their data somehow stop phones from being stolen?
