3 Apple TV Boxes all stopped working at the same time.

I have 3 Apple TV boxes. Each are a few years old and have always worked fine. Today all 3 stopped working. They turn on but only show the home screen. Cannot connect to them via the remote or phone. Nothing happens. I have tried resetting the devices and remotes to no avail. I'm guessing this is due to a bad software update. Has anyone else experienced this? If the answer is to buy 3 new boxes, I will pass and just purchase additional Fire TV sticks that I use on other TVs.
