MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1 bluetooth issue with 3rd party devices

I just updated my 2020 intel iMac to Tahoe 26.0.1 and after start up and reaching the login page, my bluetooth keyboard and mouse will not connect. I have a generic keyboard and my mouse is a Logitech MX Ergo. I was able to switch my keyboard and mouse to the 2.4 Ghz using their respective USB dongles and I was able to login into my iMac. After login, then the bluetooth connection to the keyboard and mouse works. Rebooted several times and the issue showed up after every reboot. The magic mouse and keyboard from Apple which are also bluetooth don't have this problem, it seems that only affect 3rd party devices. Has anyone seen this issue?

Try this:

System Settings > Privacy & Security > File Vault > Turn Off

I just tried this and seams to be working back (restarted and turned on/off several times my mac)

File Vault protection may be blocking pre-login hardware access to 3rd party devices
