When Apple TV-app for MacOS is opened and from 'Recently Added' I click a tv-show you'll see all episodes of said tv-show. But... I can't get back to 'Recently Added'. Before there was an arrow in the top left with which you could return to the previous window. The same goes for 'Movies' and 'TV-shows': clicking a title and I can't return.
That’s definitely annoying. The TV app should always show a back arrow in the top left, so if it’s missing it’s most likely a bug. You could try fully quitting the app (Command + Q) and reopening it, or check if there’s a macOS update waiting since those often fix glitches like this. Signing out of your Apple ID in the TV app and back in might also help.
If it still doesn’t work, it’s probably an issue with the latest version of the app. In that case, I’d suggest sending feedback to Apple so they can patch it in an update.

I have the same problem. There is no back arrow anymore, after the most recent update.
Using the backspace or left-arrow key also does not work. The only option is to close the app, reopen it, and renavigate to the next program that one wants to view.
And you have to do that after EVERY. SINGLE. VIEWING.
