iPhone 17 Pro Max – Static / hissing noise from speaker while charging

I have the 17PM and also have this problem. Charging while using Safari and other applications and putting ear on the bottom speaker I can hear static noises. Top speaker also has weird buzz but not as loud.

When phone is unplugged from charger I am able to also hear very soft static noises almost not noticeable unless you have good ears.

This is a big widespread problem happening on all iPhones and Apple has not even made a comment or addressed it? Not good enough! This ain’t the only problem either it’s been an influx of problems after problems….

Anyone have any updates?

I talked to a genius operator, there are no anomalies on the device, he booked an appointment anyway because he tells me that it is not normal for him to do this, but I am always convinced that it is a software problem, because on another forum even with replacement the problem remains..

I got my iPhone 17 Pro Max 3 days ago, and got the same noise. When on charger, If some media happens, like a video that automatically plays, or scroll through some TikTok or Instagram videos in silence, the noise appears, from the left speaker. I have returned it to my mobile company, and they will check on it. Something I did not like is they said if this does not fall under guarantee then I will need to pay for some components if they decide to, which is crazy. Well for now, no iPhone 17 Pro Max for the coming 2 weeks.

I talked to the Apple Store, they tell me that it's a noise that shouldn't be there but checking my iPhone they didn't notice any hardware defects with tests, the fact is that they don't even know if it's a hardware or software problem, they tell me that the story has already been reported by someone else, and anyway I saw on another forum that a user replaced the iPhone but also the new one had this problem during the charge, so I don't know what to say...

I've tried few changes and fer different cables.

Also I found that buzzing is low when battery is almost done (around 10%) after 20% buzzing is higher

Exactly mines does the same 16 Pro Max 256GB I also noticed that when using a wireless charger you can hear like a dial up sound maybe the coil sensing sound but yeah same problems as you

Nope. 26.0.1 did nothing to fix the issue, it’s very likely a hardware issue

I have the same issues while charging and also If I put my ear close to the apple on the back I hear some noises like something is working (only if I put my ear close). I don’t know if it is normal or not.

On the 12th, I made a purchase for the iPhone 17 Pro, which I received on the 22nd. Upon initial usage, I observed a notably low sound output from the speaker, which is significantly inferior to the sound quality of previous iPhone models.

Apple has offered a replacement device, however, after reviewing this discussion, I am uncertain whether to proceed with the replacement. The possibility of the issue persisting even after replacement remains a concern.

Is this noise coming from the back of the phone, specifically the center plateau? It happens with every lens I use from 0.5x to 8x, but it stops when I exit the Camera app OR, as I've just noticed, when I turn on the Selfie camera. If you can, please report this to Apple Support.

On my 13Pro Max was an issue: when I started record a video, for first 2 second sound is not recording and I heard some buzzing noise on the video.

Apple said that with phone everything is ok and this is software issue.

Ok. During 4 years issue was not fixed

Guys, I'm Italian and I also have this problem (iphone 17 pro max ) when the phone is under charge, I hear a noise coming from the speakers, is it a software bug? , I also notice a crazy lag in the keyboard!!

I have this issue on my 17 Pro Max as well, it’s more obvious if you’re in your photos app, and play a video, make sure it’s not muted but just turned all the way down. My bottom speaker, which is now on the left side, produces sounds similar to radio static

OP do you have any updates for us? Has Apple said anything about it?

It’s been weeks and many people reporting this widespread problem to Apple yet no statement from them? This is getting to be beyond a joke!

El reemplazo no creo que arregle por el momento el problema.
