Parental controls keep resetting

Whenever I update the settings for my kids they keep getting reset. (I.e. location sharing settings).

Reading the forum here I suspect this has to do with their phones being on latest iOS 26 and their old iPad Pros being on an older iOS version (16.7.12)

Apple, this is not an excuse to sell me newer iPads!

It’s software and you can fix it if you’d care about Parental Controls.
