since updating to IOS 26 the search bar in my mailbox has moved to the bottom. I prefer it at the top but can’t find out how to move it back. There are lots of instructions on how to move the search bar in Safari but can anyone help with moving it in my mail app please?

They won't if they don't know, and Apple does not participate here. Posting bug reports here is as effective as hanging all your "lost puppy" posters inside a sewer pipe. The people who need to see it won't.

From what I can find I don’t think it is possible, I hate it so much.

I hope they move it. The delete, block contact, and move to junk are all in the body of the email. I accidentally hit the link to a fake Social Security Administration email.
Right click on Mac has lost functionality as well with the Tahoe upgrade. Clearly, they have work to do.
I gather you cannot do it. Instead of forcing us, how about Apple gives us the option to choose? Or is this a one way street?
Drag it over to where you want it. Command Key + Grab the Icon and drag it to where you want it. Works for me but the Search Bar wasn't at the bottom.

I can’t stand it at the bottom. Apple need to at least give customers the option and not just dictate changes.

I have reported it there multiple times since the day of the update. I am here to see if there is a workaround since details from Apple on the update were not helpful.

I also can’t stand it and wish it was back at the top, they are always trying to fix things that aren’t broken .
