The problem I'm having with the Files app

I am experiencing a recurring issue with the Files app on my Apple device. I often use the app to solve questions from test books I download from the internet. Recently, this problem has become more. When I am working in the app, sometimes it suddenly logs me out or closes, and when I reopen it, all the work I had done is lost. This is very frustrating, as it causes me to lose a lot of progress. Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can prevent it from

The files app isn't something you log in and out of. It's a place where you store files. Please describe what you mean when you say you are "working in the app."

Thank you for your response. Let me clarify what I mean by “working in the app.” I open PDF files directly in the Files app and make notes, draw, or scribble on them. While doing this, sometimes the app suddenly closes or my device returns to the home screen, and when I reopen the PDF, all my markings and notes are gone. I hope this makes the issue clearer. I would really appreciate any guidance on how to prevent this from happening.
