Adding Colour Adjustment effect in Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.3

In Final Cut 2.3 for iPad if I drag the colour adjustments effect to a clip the app crashes. However, if I add it from the inspector it works. The clips can be from any camera, mostly Nikon and Lumix but also including my iPhone 16 pro. Everything has been shot Log with a mixture of Prores and H.265. Other effects work absolutely fine. My iPad is a 5th generation 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
