Cannot enter any data through the screen on my Apple Watch Series 9

I upgraded my iPhone 15 to OS 26. It appears to be working perfectly.

Attempted to upgrade my iWatch 9 to OS 26. It no longer accepts any entries through the iWatch screen. I’m not able to complete a full install without pin entry and that feature.

If you can not use the built in keyboard on your watch, you can use your iPhone to fill in the needed information.

Make sure that on your iPhone in Settings/Notifications/Apple Watch keyboard is enabled.

Then bring your iPhone near the Apple Watch. When the watch asks for the Apple Account password, you should get a message on your iPhone, asking, if you want to use the iOS keyboard to type the password and send it to the Apple Watch.
