Can’t move folders anymore on iPad Pro 11 inch A1980 after ios26

Holding a folder or app until it jiggles. But can’t drag it to another position or window. Reducing transparency does not help. It looks like ios26 slowed down the editing of the screen to a crawl, and does not allow normal editing functions like dragging a folder.

Found a workaround to be able to move apps and folders. Specially useful if you are trying to move them to another screen. Move the app/folder to the Dock first (bar at the bottom of the iPad). You have to be patient, though. Press on the app/folder. Keep pressing until it jiggles, disappear, and appear again. Move it to a position in the Dock. Again, wait a few seconds until the Dock re-arranges and the app/folder settles. Then, press the “Done” button at the top right. Now, side scroll the screen until you are in the window you want to move the app/folder to. Press on the app/folder icon on the Dock until in jiggles and settles (a few seconds again). Then move the app/folder to the window and keep pressing until the app/folder and window rearranging settles. Then press “Done” again. Takes some time, but it works.
