Original Title: Mac OS 26
There has been an Apple problem with the Apple Apps Store wherein downloading some softwares have not been working
This may also include downloading macOS 26 Tahoe
Alternative for the moment
Use the Terminal application
Use this command, suggest you copy and past the command into Terminal
softwareupdate --list-full-installers
It should only search for Full Version of macOS this computer Qualifies to run
Example >> list-full-installers
Finding available software
Software Update found the following full installers:
* Title: macOS Tahoe, Version: 26.0, Size: 16550645KiB, Build: 25A354
* Title: macOS Sequoia, Version: 15.7, Size: 15285579KiB, Build: 24G222
If Tahoe is listed, use the next Terminal command
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 26.0
This will commence to download the Full Version of Tahoe 26.0
Note, the full version is about 17 GB in size
Once successfully dowloaded, check in the Applications Folder for a new application called " Install Tahoe app "
The solution you provided perfectly solved my problem, and I am truly happy. Although I may be on the other side of the earth now, and maybe we don't know each other, it doesn't affect that you are an angel in my heart.

Haha, this problem has been bugging me for days and really stressed me out.
It all started because I wanted to set up a new operating system on an external hard drive. But here’s the thing—my internal system had already updated to Version 26, which stopped the old OS I downloaded from launching the installer. I even reached out to Apple Support, but they said there was no workaround and told me to just wait patiently for the new system to roll out on the App Store.
Then I mentioned this frustration to AI, and it pointed me to your solution. I never thought your method would be this straightforward and effective—it’s seriously a lifesaver 👏!
That’s why I made a point to sign up for a community account. Honestly, I just wanted to say a genuine thank you—you have no idea how much this helped me!
